We’re a team of creatives rallied around a common mission: creating local communities of women. It’s not enough to just facilitate existing communities. We hope to enable the creation of entirely new, stronger communities, thereby making our world—the real world in particular—a better place.

Janete Perez

Janete is a co-founder of Present where she focuses on product management and the overall strategy for the company. Janete is a first generation college student and earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Brown University. Before founding Present, Janete spent her career working at some of the world’s top technology companies on products including Facebook Messenger, Microsoft Expression, and data analytics and machine learning tools for Zynga.

When she’s not in the office, you’ll find her spending time outdoors, doing yoga, or making plans for a ladies night on Present. The most inspirational women in her life? Her hard-working, single mother, who immigrated from the U.S. from Mexico when Janete was three years old.

Bob

As CEO and co-founder of Present, Bob is responsible for the growth of Present. He has been developing game-changing software for over 20 years. He helped develop Android at Google before becoming the CTO of Square. He was one of the earliest Twitter users and has always been passionate about helping set a new standard for social networks.

When he’s not in the office you’ll find him spending time with his two daughters or swimming laps in the pooll. The most influential women in his life? His mother (a former newspaper editor) and of course, his daughters!

Pat Niemeyer

Pat

Patrick is a co-founder of Present where he oversees app’s development. Pat is best known for writing the first ever book series on Java, titled *"Exploring Java" *and* "Learning Java,"* as well as developing the popular BeanShell Java Scripting Language. Pat has worked at a variety of companies, helping to advance and develop software.

Prior to Present, he served as the Chief Technology Officer of Ikayzo. He also worked as a senior software architect for Banc of America Securities, Federal Reserve Bank, Edward Jones and A.G. Edwards. The most influential women in his life? His mother, daughters and his wife, who is a fellow engineer.

Pegah is responsible for creating Present's web presence. As a female developer with a business school background, she chose to work for Present not only because she supports the mission, but because she believes she can take a holistic approach to drive early stage growth for a technology startup. Moreover, a goal of hers is to support the paradigm shift of women in STEM. Pegah set out to achieve this goal by enrolling in Coding Dojo, a 3 month immersive coding bootcamp located in San Jose, where she studied web and iOS technologies. has always been passionate about helping set a new standard for social networks.

Today, she holds two master’s degrees, in information and communication technology(ICT) and international business, and certificates in entrepreneurship and full stack development.The most inspirational women in her life? Her mother, who taught her how to live life and make wise choices, even in the most uncertain situations.

Lisa

Lisa is a developer, speaker and advocate and the Android developer at Present. In addition to her work, she is a regular keynote and technical speaker at international tech conferences. Previously, she built the Android app at Genius (formerly Rap Genius). Before that, she worked as a developer advocate at Google, where she focused on Android, Google Glass, and Android Wear. She began in mobile as an Android developer at the New York Times on their flagship newsreader app.

In between, she took a long break from school, in which she worked as a bartender and pastry chef. She is an Android Google Developer Expert and holds a B.S. in computer science and music from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. When she’s not working, you can find Lisa in a farmer's market somewhere in the world!

Gabrielle is a full stack engineer at Present. Before joining Present, she studied computer science at the Columbia University School of Engineering. While a student, Gabrielle was a teaching assistant for several undergraduate classes, webmaster for the the Columbia AIAA (a club that builds RC airplanes), and in her final summer she redesigned the website for the Columbia Makerspace. These experiences gave her a passion for working with people and using her technical skills to enrich the community around her. Gabrielle’s love of CS began early in her life. She first began to learn about tech from science and electronics kits, and Lego Mindstorms. Later, she took CS classes at her high school in Jamaica, where she won two awards for being the top advanced computer science student in the Caribbean.

In her free time, Gabrielle can be found making jewelry, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and caring for her numerous plants. The women who have inspired Gabrielle the most are her mother, her older sister, and her aunt. These women taught her early what it means to to be a successful and resourceful woman, a lesson she carries with her every day.

As Community Manager for Present, Chantelle focuses on people; merging synergies between individuals and organizations. She has a natural talent for connecting people, creating a safe space to inspire and motivate others to achieve more; together. A Virginia native, she earned her B.S. in Marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University. She currently serves the community by developing existing groups that directly benefit women and families and sits on the board of Girls Leading Girls.

Chantelle is a self-proclaimed shoe-a-holic and Style Blogger. You can find her posting about her favorite women owned brands and the next date for Sunday brunch on Present. The most influential woman in her life? Her grandma, who she calls her spirit animal and her rock.

Kristina drives Present’s appearance and passion through design and branding. Out of high school she embarked on several innovative entrepreneurial ventures before holding the creative director role at an international e-commerce site for three years until she decided to move to San Francisco. All the while, she accidentally made her dogs instafamous through her BulldogStuff account.

When she’s not dancing at her desk, you can find her taking plenty of photos of dogs and vegan food. The most influential woman in her life? Her mom who taught her all things creative and compassionate as her Girl Scout troop leader and cheerleading coach.

Kassia drives the marketing team, wearing many hats ranging from social media manager, to brand partnership development, to marketing analyst. She joined the Present team excited about finding the intersection between social good and technology. She also sits on the board of Chick Tech, as an advisor for their career development fundraisers. As a California native, she earned her B.A. in International Relations from San Francisco State University.

In her free time you can find her outside enjoying the California outdoors on a hike or in a park with a good book and a full grocery bag full of Trader Joe’s goodies. The woman who inspired her most growing up was her grandmother; who taught her how to have a quick wit, handle stress with grace, and that everything is always better with butter.
